Testimonials
"I had the pleasure of working with Jewell for over 4 years through Lincoln's Oakland Freedom School. During this time together, Jewell wore many hats, from Family Navigator, Educator, Event Management to Curriculum Designer, and eventually to Principal Site Coordinator. In all of these roles, her natural leadership shines through. Jewell was dynamic, passionate, thoughtful and charismatic, and a deep well of knowledge that she brought to each of these positions. Jewell developed strong working relationships with stakeholders, clients, educators, families, and children and recognized the value and importance of lifting up all these diverse perspectives when decisions were made. She was a creative, flexible, leader and a problem solver and one who demonstrated deep cultural sensitives when working with vulnerable communities. In our time together professionally, I came to deeply value her judgement, perspective, and leadership. She would be a strong leader and collaborator on any team."

"I worked with Jewell as I was leading schools and she is able to peer coach in a way that is thoughtful, empowering and effective. She can use data sources (qualitative and quantitative) to inform the way she develops community approaches to do a range of actions including restoring relationships, developing adult culture, facilitating PD, holding brave spaces for mindset coaching, and more. In our time working together she modeled for me the value of honoring my whole self and showing up in a way that honors my full identity and perspectives."

Jewell is one of the most values-driven, courageous, and kind professionals I’ve crossed paths with. Her vision for the future of our youth was consistent and inspiring, and she has the ability to bring others along. In our work together, she brought her storytelling skills to life in grant applications and underscored the importance of acknowledging your whole self when putting forth a professional narrative. I am grateful to have had the chance to collaborate with Jewell!
